Gala Dinner at Cavas Codorniu
Royal Catering was delighted to offer its services for this gala dinner at Cavas Codorniu, the historic Catalan winery. 235 guests enjoyed the opportunity to discover this unique space designed in 1915 by renowned art nouveau architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch and named as a ‘Historical Artistic Monument’ in 1976. The guests enjoyed a welcome drink and aperitif of traditional Mediterranean dishes of millefeuille of aubergine, goat’s cheese tomato and basil, tomato Salmorejo, roast beef marinated in ginger, chilli, sesame and lemongrass, and flatbread with Iberian cured ham while touring the winery. The gala dinner at Cavas Codorniu was held in the Gran Celler, once the fermentation room, where guests delighted in a three course dinner of salmon and king prawn tartar, beef mignonette with asparagus and idiazábal cheese crispy potatoes and a dessert of yoghurt mousse with chocolate crumble and toffee cream. Each dish was paired with wines and cavas from Codorniu and the guests made the most of the spacious Gran Celler to enjoy a post dinner dance.
